How to Program a MERCEDES Truck Key
If you're looking to replace the battery or your key stopped working, our parts department will be willing to assist you. Be aware that replacement keys must be ordered and synchronized at the dealership in person. This is done to ensure your car's safety and security. Only you or a person authorized by you may request this service.
Keys
There have been some claims that you can reprogram the Mercedes key, however this is not true. The key is paired "for life" and once it's programmed to one vehicle, it cannot be used with another. The key has a distinct design in its beam of metal and the Mercedes system scans for this and only recognizes the specific key. A new blank key for the Mercedes truck is of a different form and will not be compatible with the system.
The dealer will have to purchase from Mercedes an additional key that is compatible with your vehicle. They don't keep keys in stock in the parts department. When you are picking up your key, you'll require the original title, registration, as well as a driver’s license, passport, or identity card. This will help verify that you are the owner of the vehicle and not someone who is trying to steal it.

Remotes

The screen can be programmed with a graphic interface program on the computer of the user. The "buttons" on the screen are actual images that represent parts of electronic circuits. They include capacitors, resistors, inductors, potentiometers, transistors, diodes integrated circuits, and switches.
If you place your keys in the boot, it could be difficult to open the truck without damaging the door or the Mercedes-Benz lock cylinder.
